Homemade Gym Stuff: Cheaper Loading 'Pin'

We've a length of chain, just about long enough to load up with a decent stack of weights. Looping it round aint an option. So we need something to act as a flange - we could buy a staple & backing plate (Need a quick link too)

Here's an even cheaper solution for pennies...
Using two M8x100Lg Bolts & 4xM8 Nuts & Washers.

Double B'std, Carabiner, Chain & Bolts.

Serendipity - the bolts fitted my chain perfectly, locking the second link in place!
You might be less fortunate - but one bolt should work fine.

  2. Mmm steel - I know we're in the middle of winter but I jus' can't wait til spring and some 'dryer' days. Judging by the last pic I'll need to get the ol' wire brush 'n' Hammerite out!
