Battered & Deep-Fried

Basic Batter Mix (thanks to Delia Smith
- Makes enough for a box of Ferrero Rocher (300g)
- 1 oz (25g) self-raising flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 fl oz (40 ml) water, plus 1 scant tablespoon
Just sift the flour and salt into a mixing bowl, then gradually add the water, whisking continuously until the batter is smooth and free from lumps.
Remember to keep the fat hot, dunk then enjoy!..
